The anticipation surrounding The Game Awards has been intense, particularly after presenter Geoff Keighley posted a mysterious image of a strange statue. The question has now been solved. The acclaimed developer is creating a brand-new Divinity game.
Titled simply Divinity, the game was showcased with a audacious trailer that included striking imagery, from a figure engulfed in flames to scenes of revelry and the literal descent into chaos.
A Different Direction
Anyone expecting Divinity Original Sin 3, this is not that. Larian clarified that a third Original Sin game to its beloved RPGs is not currently in development.
However, the developer referred to this new Divinity as a evolution of the main series. This phrasing suggests that the team could be designing a real-time experience rather than another tactical title. Currently, it remains theory, as only a teaser video is available.
